Veneers

TO OUR NEW PATIENTS
If there’s one thing we notice about others
There’s no denying the power of a beautiful smile. Many patients think that veneers are just for celebrities – think again! Veneers are thin shells of tooth-colored porcelain bonded to the front of teeth that can correct things like :
- cracked, chipped, or broken teeth,
- oddly shaped or sized teeth,
- discolored teeth,
- unwanted or uneven spaces.
Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions. As with most dental restorations, veneers are not permanent and may someday need to be replaced. They are very durable and will last many years, providing you a beautiful long lasting smile.
The Process Involved in Porcelain Veneers
We believe planning makes for a predictable and long lasting restoration. The veneer process starts with a chairside mock-up of what your veneers could look like using a overlay of tooth-colored material. This is like test driving your new smile! After this appointment, you will return for Dr. Conley to prepare the teeth for the veneers, which is a very conservative process with minimal tooth adjustments. You will leave that day with provisionals or temporaries that will mimic the final restorations. The last step is the delivery appointment and it is a very exciting day! If you are happy with the shape and color of your veneers, Dr. Conley will bond or adhere the new porcelain veneers to your teeth and you will leave with a stunning new smile.
An Important Reminder about Porcelain Veneers
Although veneers are often an excellent way to drastically improve the appearance of a patient’s smile, they’re not for everyone. To find out if veneers are the right choice for you, meet with Dr. Conley. They can assess the current state of your oral health and tell you whether or not veneers will work for you.
